When planning your dream wedding, flowers can play a central role in creating the an unforgettable atmosphere. At Forest and the Flowers, we specialise in crafting floral-dense, contemporary designs that are uniquely tailored to you. From reflexing every single rose to hand-selecting the finest blooms, we bring artistry, experience, and an aesthetic unlike any other. But one of the most common questions couples ask is: how much do wedding flowers cost? Here, we break it down for you.

How Much Should You Set Aside for Wedding Flowers?

As a general guide, we recommend allocating 10-15% of your overall wedding budget to flowers, plus additional expenses for labor, delivery, and setup. For those who value flowers as a core feature of their day, investing 20-25% of your overall budget on flowers and decor is ideal. This covers essential florals and additional decor like candles, charger plates, and styling that elevate the entire venue.

For example:

  • If your total wedding budget is £30,000, expect to spend between £3000-£4500 on flowers alone, but please allow room for labor, installation, delivery and breakdowns.

  • To achieve a venue transformation with flowers and decor, allocate £6000-£7500 or more. But do keep in mind that a full venue transformation is conditional on the size of your wedding party and table layout.

In my personal opinion, the impact of flowers cannot be overstated - they really do transform spaces, set the atmosphere, and create unforgettable moments for you and your guests.

What Determines a Minimum Spend?

Our minimum spend is £4000 for peak-season weekends, ensuring that we maintain the quality and cohesive aesthetic our clients expect. Several factors determine this minimum:

  • Experience and Expertise: With years of experience working across the world, I have worked to bring a refined and unique floral design aesthetic. I have invested heavily in mastering my craft and still continue to work on this as times and trends change. I make a particular effort to deliver premium results.

  • Overheads: Florists operate under different circumstances. Some may work from a home studio with minimal overheads, while others, like myself, have a dedicated studio based in Clifton Village Bristol, skilled staff, business rates, utility costs and VAT. These investments allow me to provide exceptional service, from curated mood boards and personalised consultations to a distanced to travel for a detailed execution and install on your big day.

  • Attention to Detail: At Forest and the Flowers, we delicately reflex every single rose or tulip and manipulate our flowers, ensuring that each petal is open, soft, and at its best. This level of care and artistry takes a lot of time and expertise.

If you value luxurious, artistic, and detail-rich florals, our work will align perfectly with your vision.

Why Don’t We Price Match?

Simply put, no two florists are the same. Pricing reflects the individual circumstances of each florist, experience, and design philosophy:

  • A florist working from a home studio may have fewer overheads, making their services cheaper.

  • An ambitious florist with a studio, staff, business rates, and utilities naturally has greater operating costs.

  • A florist offering more greenery in their designs than flowers make a saving on their filler costs. We offer less greenery with a fuller floral look to create a luxurious and modern aesthetic.

  • Attention to detail and unique design

At Forest and the Flowers, our pricing also reflects:

  • World-Class Experience: I have worked all over the globe, perfecting my skills and offering a distinctive aesthetic that you won’t see every day- creating something very special and is definitely a talking point of your wedding that your guest will never forget.

  • Unparalleled Quality: From sourcing the finest and most unique flowers to curing, manipulating and delicately reflexing each and every rose or tulip by hand, my commitment to the art of flowers ensures stunning results.

  • Bespoke Service: From your initial consultation to mood boards, site visits, and installation, I take you on the creative journey to bring your vision to life.

Comparing florists is like comparing Gucci to Primark. The quality, attention to detail, and overall experience are completely different. If you’re looking for floral that exceeds expectations, myself and my team are the perfect match for you.

What About Flower Costs and Flexibility?

Flowers are a natural product, and their cost can fluctuate. Wholesale prices depend on variety, season, time of year (ie: Valentine’s, Mother’s day and Christmas) and availability. For example, premium roses can cost £3.50+ per stem plus VAT.

Additionally:

  • We must pre-order flowers in specific quantities, often accommodating for transport damage or imperfections.

  • Working with seasonal flowers offers flexibility, reducing costs and ensuring designs are uniquely beautiful.

Being flexible with flower choices allows me to maximise your budget and achieve greater impact.
